A bit of info about me, Tricia Copley.
This will be my ninth year at Joplin High School. I received my degree in Elementary Education, and Special Reading from Missouri Southern State College, and taught Special Reading for many years in a small school district. I decided I wanted to teach English and had enough hours, along with taking the Praxis, to receive certification in Communication Arts. I received my master's degree in reading from Pittsburg State University.
I have one daughter, Jennifer and two grandchildren whom I love dearly. This summer completely changed my life and my families. I lost my home, pets, and my classroom, but feel it is something we can learn from and not dwell upon. We can only get stronger and better, and each school year will help us grow into a flourishing community of learners.
